SEE grading scale

The official SEE 4.0 scale. Each band maps a percentage range to a letter grade and its grade point. Percentages use an inclusive lower bound; the top band is inclusive of 100.

SEE 4.0 grading scale reference
Grade Grade point Percentage range Description
A+ 4.00 90 – 100 Outstanding

B+ 3.20 70 – <80 Very Good
B 2.80 60 – <70 Good
C+ 2.40 50 – <60 Satisfactory
C 2.00 40 – <50 Acceptable
D 1.60 35 – <40 Partially Acceptable
NG 0.00 0 – <35 Not Graded

How the GPA is calculated

The official NEB SEE GPA weights grade points, not raw marks. Here is the exact process this calculator follows.

Step 1

Marks become a percentage

Theory and practical are handled separately. Each component's marks are converted to a percentage of its own maximum.

Step 2

Percentage maps to a grade band

Each percentage falls into a discrete grade band on the SEE 4.0 scale, and every band carries a fixed grade point — for example A+ is 4.0.

Step 3

Subject GP is a weighted average

A subject's grade point is the weighted average of its component grade points: theory and practical at 75/25 for standard subjects, or 50/50 for Computer Science. Raw marks are never averaged.

Step 4

Final GPA is credit-hour weighted

The final GPA is the credit-hour-weighted average of every subject's grade point: the sum of (credit hours × subject GP) divided by the sum of credit hours.

In short: grade points are weighted, never raw marks. This matches the official NEB marksheet exactly.

About the SEE GPA Calculator

The SEE GPA Calculator from Seepapers.com is a free, student-friendly tool that helps Class 10 students in Nepal find their Secondary Education Examination Grade Point Average in seconds. Whether you already have your letter grades or only know your raw marks, this online GPA calculator turns them into an accurate SEE GPA using the official National Examinations Board (NEB) grading system for 2082 (2026).

Most students search for a see gpa calculator right after results are published, when they want a quick, trustworthy answer. Our tool is built for exactly that moment. You can calculate GPA by grades or calculate GPA by marks, and the result matches how the official NEB marksheet is prepared — grade points are weighted by credit hours, never by simply averaging raw numbers. Theory and practical components are scored separately, and Computer Science is handled with its correct 50/50 split, so your GPA is reliable for every subject combination.

Three tools in one

Beyond a simple GPA finder, Seepapers gives you three connected tools. The SEE GPA planner works backwards from a target GPA and shows the grade combinations you need across your subjects, which is perfect if you are aiming for a specific A or A+ result. The +2 eligibility checker tells you which streams you qualify for — Science, Management or Humanities — based on your GPA and key subject grades. The SEE marksheet generator builds a clean transcript you can download or print for your own records.

Why students in Nepal trust it

Everything runs in your browser, so your marks are never uploaded or stored on a server — your data stays private. The calculator is fast, mobile-friendly and easy enough for any Class 10 student to use without help. It uses the same grade bands and grade points that appear on your real NEB marksheet, from A+ (4.0) down to NG, and clearly explains how each result is reached so you actually understand your GPA instead of just seeing a number.

Seepapers.com is a study resource built for Nepali students, with past papers and guides for SEE and +2. The SEE GPA Calculator brings that same local focus to one of the most stressful parts of result season. Use it to calculate your GPA, plan the grades you need, confirm your +2 stream eligibility and generate your SEE marksheet — all in one place, completely free. If you are looking for the most accurate and easy-to-use see gpa calculator in Nepal for 2082, this is the tool made just for you.

How to calculate your SEE GPA

Find your NEB Grade Point Average in four simple steps.

  1. Pick Grade mode or Marks mode

  2. Enter each subject

Fill in all six compulsory subjects plus your two optional subjects. Theory and practical are handled separately, and Computer Science uses the 50/50 split automatically.

  3. Read your GPA

Your overall SEE GPA (0.0 to 4.0) and its equivalent letter grade appear instantly in the result banner, calculated with the official NEB credit-hour-weighted method.

  4. Plan, check eligibility or export

Use the GPA planner to find the grades you need for a target GPA, check your +2 stream eligibility, or generate and download your SEE marksheet.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about the SEE GPA Calculator, NEB grading and +2 eligibility in Nepal.

What is the SEE GPA Calculator?
The SEE GPA Calculator on tools.seepapers.com is a free online tool that calculates your Secondary Education Examination (SEE) Grade Point Average using the official NEB grading system. You can enter letter grades or raw marks, plan a target GPA, check +2 eligibility, and generate your SEE marksheet.
How is SEE GPA calculated in Nepal?
SEE GPA is calculated by weighting grade points, not raw marks. Each subject component is converted to a percentage, mapped to a grade band (A+ = 4.0), and the subject grade point is a weighted average. The final GPA is the credit-hour-weighted average of all subject grade points.
Can I calculate my SEE GPA from marks instead of grades?
Yes. Switch to Marks mode and type your raw theory and practical marks for each subject. The calculator converts every mark into the matching NEB grade and grade point automatically, then computes your overall GPA the same way the official SEE marksheet does.
What GPA do I need for the +2 Science stream?
For +2 Science you generally need an overall GPA of at least 2.0, with at least C+ (GP 2.4) in both Science and Mathematics, and at least D (GP 1.6) in English, Nepali and Social Studies. Management and Humanities require an overall GPA of 1.6.
What is a good SEE GPA?
There is no such thing as good GPA. 3.6 to 4.0 (A+) is excellent and opens every +2 stream. 3.2 to 3.6 (A) is very strong, and 2.0 and above keeps Science open. Any GPA at or above 1.6 lets you join Management or Humanities. Higher GPAs widen your stream and scholarship options.
Does the SEE GPA Calculator follow the official NEB system?
Yes. Every grade band, grade point, credit hour and pass threshold follows the National Examinations Board (NEB) 4.0 grading scale used for SEE. The tool is built for estimation and study planning, so always confirm your final result with your official NEB marksheet.
How does the SEE GPA planner work?
The GPA planner works backwards from your target. Enter the GPA you want, and the planner shows realistic grade combinations across your subjects that reach it. It is the easiest way to see exactly which grades you need before the SEE exam.
Can I generate my SEE marksheet or transcript?
Yes. After entering your subjects, the marksheet generator builds a clean SEE marksheet preview showing each subject, its grade and grade point, plus your final GPA. You can download or print it as a transcript for your own records and applications.
Is the SEE GPA Calculator free to use?
Yes, the Seepapers SEE GPA Calculator is completely free, works on mobile and desktop, and needs no sign-up. Your marks stay in your browser and are never uploaded, so calculating your GPA is private, fast and ad-light.
